Abstract

These are records of bonds given to guarantee the faithful performance of duties by various elected and appointed officials. Included are bonds signed by each official and his sureties for stated amounts. Some contain the governor's signature of approval. Occassionally included are the oaths of office taken by the officials. Among those officials giving bond were the state treasurer, the inspector of mines, and the state inspector and examiner.
